Our names are Ellie and Eliana, we go to Solomon Schechter in West Hartford and this year we learned about enslavement. In doing so we got involved with Witness Stones. We were assigned an enslaved person named Prime. Prime only had one document which proved his existence. Our project was inspired by the lack of humanity Prime was shown.
Our project consists of many empty important legal documents to symbolize all of the things Prime didn't have. In the middle of the board we put the one legal we had of him. The sparkles and lights in the front and back represent bringing light to this topic and the lack of humanity shown to enslaved people.
